Steven posted about a joint ‘Fusion Capital & MYC4’ advert in the Daily Nation, and I am proud to follow up three weeks later and announce that Fusion Capital now has a first hand experience with the massive potential ‘Online Business Sign-up’ contains!
But in stead of me stating how happy Fusion Capital is for being invited in on this, I will hereby ‘give the word to’ Daniel Waweru Kamau, who is the Business Development Manager at Fusion Capital:
“This is to inform that we were able to attend to over 60 clients through various ways including telephone calls, walk in, email inquiries and posts. Out of the 60 clients whose contacts we have, we have around 10 potential clients. We also expect post advert referrals in the course of time. This note is to express our sincere gratitude to MYC4 for considering Fusion Capital in this marketing venture, we believe it will lead to mutual benefit. We look forward to partnering with you in any future initiatives.”
Going through the list of the potential Borrowers, you will see that the businesses seeking to obtain a loan are coming from a wide range of industries, spanning from Farming, Transport, Retail over IT. I will soon talk to Fusion Capital and get them to ‘double click’ on one to two of the businesses, that could be interesting for you and me to hear more about here on the blog…
All of the above sounds like sweet music in my ears, BUT what if there is not enough capital on MYC4 to fund them?? This, unfortunately, happens to be the case at the moment! Mads and I have often been told that we would never be able to find enough small- to medium sized businesses seeking to obtain a loan, but the Online Business Sign-up ‘feature’ as well as the Yogurt examples mentioned in my TEDx talk are just two powerful examples of how innovation will be a guiding principle for us in the scale phase, we are now entering.
So, here is my call to action; spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, company intranet, etc. that there are small scaled businesses in Africa who need funding to develop and grow their business! You can participate with as little as EUR 5 and with the new sign-up formula, it is rather straight forward! You can even participate without doing anything else than just donating your money to the MYC4 Foundation who then will do the job for you – here is how we explain this: I do not want a MYC4 account, I just want to donate money to the MYC4 Foundation and let it invest in Africa through MYC4 loans. This is very similar to giving money to charity.
As a little service info; You can follow the historical return on investment here…
See you on MYC4!!
