There are many different kinds of investors on the MYC4 platform. Most accounts belong to ordinary people, some accounts belong to whole families. But there are also companies on the platform. One such company is the Danish branch of the global accounting and consulting firm KPMG.
KPMG is a company that has a strong social profile, and in 2008 they decided that lending through MYC4 was going to be part of their social engagement. I spoke to Stig Meulengracht who administers one of their five MYC4 accounts. He explained why they chose MYC4 to achieve social impact.
Instead of donating money directly to charity we would, by using MYC4, be able to invest in poor entrepreneurs needing a loan, and then donate the profit we made to charity – Stig Meulengracht
At MYC4 we believe in these initiatives and welcome more like them. Letting MYC4 be part of your company’s CSR profile has a number of advantages. The concept and benefit of MYC4 is easy to communicate to customers, employees can engage with the investing and be motivated to work by it, and last but not least, by investing through MYC4 the company contributes to creating growth in Africa.
If you or your company are interested in setting up some sort of CSR partnership, you are more than welcome to contact us. We are happy to give you more information regarding what we can offer you in terms of CSR. Invest in change with MYC4.
