A few months ago, we were contacted by Thomas Nagy who wanted to celebrate his 50th birthday in a different and meaningful way.
In the invitation to his guests he wrote:
I already have plenty of shirts, wine, ties and everything else. So instead of more things for myself, I wish that we together give something to the 3rd world – in terms of opportunities for those who really need it.
Together with his 60 guests he raised €5,200 forhis MYC4 account, The Thomas Trust. To involve his guests in their present, Thomas had prompted Mads Kjaer, CEO and Co-founder of MYC4, to come and say a few words about MYC4 before his guests would start using Thomas’ account to fund loans on MYC4. As some of you may know, Mads is not a man of few words which therefore resulted in a thorough presentation of MYC4 so everyone was ready to get started afterwards.
All the guests were divided around 12 tables so they could bid out the €5,200 in teams. After one hour his account was empty and the money was now active on 51 loans on MYC4.
We had a great day with introducing and observing how new users bid on MYC4. It’s always nice to see how different users bid and what values they bid after, some are very focused on gender and small loans with low interest rates, where others lend to large loans with higher interest rates. Luckily we almost always have loans that match all our users needs. – Mads Kjaer
Big thanks to Thomas for thinking of us, and we hope you had a great day with family and friends.
