We are looking for new content and new contributors for our blog so we thought we’d make an official invite for you to contact us if you are interested in getting your name and your stories published here. All things Africa are welcome.
The MYC4 blog was launched almost three years ago on October 20th 2010. Initially it was received by our investors with some scepticism because the very popular – but not always very constructive – investor forum was closed down at the same time. In fact, our very first post on the blog was rated with 99 votes as being poor which is the most votes and the worst rating of any of our blog posts to date!
Despite the rough welcome, however, the blog has since then been pretty well received by the MYC4 community. We’ve had more than 120,000 views in total from around the world which translates into an average of 3,500 per month. While starting out as an experiment, the blog has become an integral part of our communication and an easy way for us to keep everyone up to date on things that are happening at and around MYC4. Our most read topics are related to the core MYC4 operations (such as the quarterly performance updates and the launching of new functionalities), but other themes and stories have also proven popular with our readers (for instance Disability is not inability, The Muhammad Yunus Controversy, and Pigs can make you happy!).
Are you interested in Africa and do you want to share that interest with others? Maybe you have experience working or living in Africa and you feel like offering a different perspective on things? Or you could be a student wanting to add something new to your CV? If you are our new blogger, please contact me at email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
